Chino doesn’t have much luck with animals other than her rabbit Tippy. However, she’s able to successfully touch the always-still rabbit at Chiya’s family’s café.

ココア:
「やったよチノちゃん!おめでとう!!」
“At last, Chino-chan! Congrats!!”
リゼ:
「ちゃんと(さわ)てから(いわ)ってやれよ」
After she properly touches the rabbit, congratulate her.”
Literal: “After properly touching it, celebrate for her.”

Key Points

1ちゃんと(さわ)ってから places the touching before the celebration
  • Rize tells Cocoa to wait until Chino has actually touched the rabbit before congratulating her.
2(いわ)ってやれよ is a rough command to congratulate Chino
  • Imperative やれ makes Rize’s correction direct, and final presses Cocoa to follow it.
  • ちゃん is an affectionate, informal suffix attached to names, used mainly for children, close friends, and family members.
