恋に恋するユカリちゃん » Volume 5 » Page 52

Mina and Sanae go to Yukari’s house so the three can study. While Yukari studies, the other two slack off to the point when Mina complains that there are no more cookies. Yukari says that’s what happens when you eat them.

ミナ:
「じゃーおかわりくださーい。」
“Then, get me some more, please!”
ユカリ:
「そのページ()わったらね。」
“When you finish the page, okay?”

Key Points

  1. おかわりください asks for another serving

    • Mina uses おかわり for more cookies after the first amount is gone.

    • ください makes it a direct request: “more, please”.

  2. じゃー connects to the complaint

    • After saying there are no cookies left, じゃー means “then”.

    • It turns the problem into a request for refills.
