「私(わたし)が入(はい)ってる間(あいだ)、誰(だれ)か部屋(へや)から出(で)た人(ひと)はいた？」
“While I was in the bath, was there anyone who left the room?”
広美(ひろみ):
「いいえ誰(だれ)も…」
“No, no one...”

Key Points

  1. 間(あいだ) = while, during the time that

    • Here 私(わたし)が入(はい)ってる間(あいだ) means “while I was in the bath”.

    • It marks the time span during which another event might have happened.

  2. 入(はい)ってる is casual for 入(はい)っている

    • The full form is 入(はい)っている間(あいだ).
