Grammar: Time and Sequence » 〜終わる

Attach 終(お)わる to a verb stem to mark the end of an action.

Usage Notes

The tense belongs to 終わる: nonpast means the action will finish, while past means it has finished. It most often follows transitive action verbs but can also follow intransitive verbs.
