Covered in with 〜だらけ

A noun followed by だらけ it means something is “covered in” or “filled with” that noun, which is something undesirable.

だらけ may be followed by の then the item covered, but this may be excluded when the item is obvious.

This is used for things covering in a scattered way.

Examples

Upon hearing Usami say she’s stopping by the school library, Uchimaki says he wants to go with, and Colette tags along.

内巻(うちまき):: 「本(ほん)だらけだ！！」; “It's nothing but books!!”; Literal: “It is covered in books!!”
コレット:: 「本屋(ほんや)さんみたいだ！！」; “It's like a book store!!”; Literal: “It is like a bookstore!!”
宇佐美(うさみ):: 「２人(ふたり)とも静(しずか)にしなさい」; “Quiet down, you two.”; Literal: “Both of you, be quiet.”
