Covered in with 〜だらけ
Grammar: Condition
A noun followed by だらけ means “covered in” or “full of” that thing. The thing is usually undesirable and scattered throughout the area or object.
Add の and the covered item when it needs to be stated: 泥だらけの靴 (mud-covered shoes).
Usage Notes
だらけ sounds negative or critical. Because it suggests an undesirable abundance, it is not a neutral way to say something is full of good things.
