Concern

心配 (Worry)

心配(しんぱい) means worry, concern, or anxiety. It is used when the mind is occupied by fear that something may go wrong, and it often works with する as “to worry”.

It combines 心 (mind) with 配 (distribute) to show a mind spread out in concern.

気配 (Sign)

気配(けはい) means a sign, indication, or sense of someone’s presence. It often refers to noticing that someone or something is nearby without seeing it directly, and can also describe a faint hint of change or movement.
