Going out and emerging with 出
出 means go out or come out.
Appearances
続出 (One after another)
続出 describes similar things appearing or happening one after another. News reports often use it for a string of problems or incidents.
It combines 続 (continue) with 出 (come out) to show things coming out continuously.
Luna introduces herself to Usagi, but Usagi thinks she’s dreaming if a cat is speaking to her. Luna gives Usagi a special brooch, then proceeds to explain the dire situation that has brought them together.

- 「いまTOKYOは変な事件が続出してるわ」
- “Strange incidents are popping up all over Tokyo these days.”
- 「警察の手にはおえないような事件がね」
- “Incidents that seem beyond the police's control, you know.”
Escapes
脱出 (Escape)
脱出 means escaping from a place or getting out of a dangerous situation.
It combines 脱 (escape) with 出 (go out) to show getting out by slipping free.
To allay Haibara’s fears of being recognized at an event, Conan lets her wear his fake glasses as a disguise. After she’s kidnapped, Conan communicates with her through the wireless communication device built into the glasses, in hope of discovering where she’s being held. Once Haibara confirms she cannot escape the room she’s in, she tells Conan to listen carefully and starts listing off the details of her research around the drug that caused the two of them to become children.

- 「おい、やめろ！！ んな事おまえがそこから脱出したら聞いて…」
- “Hey, stop it!! I'll listen after we get you out of there...”
- 灰原:
- 「いいから黙って聞きなさいよ！！」

Submissions
提出 (Submission)
提出 means submitting or handing something in. The nuance is bringing something out and presenting it forward.
It combines 提 (put forward) with 出 (put out) to show putting something forth.
Fuu finds herself spirited away to another world, along with two other girls. A wizard appears before them, saying they cannot return home until they accomplish a specific goal.

- “Oh dear. I've still got to write that report to hand in to the teacher...”
