Peace and ease with 安
The kanji 安 has the core meanings of peaceful and safe.
When things are calm and free from danger, they feel settled and easy on the mind. From that idea, 安 extends to senses like relief, rest, easy, and even cheap.
Etymology
This kanji is traditionally explained as an ideogrammic compound comprised of 宀 (roof, house) and 女 (woman). These invoke imagery of someone quietly settled inside a house, suggesting a household at rest.

安静: Rest
安静 means quiet rest, calmness, or keeping still. It is especially common in medical contexts, where it means resting quietly and avoiding unnecessary movement.
It combines 安 (calm) with 静 (quiet) to show a calm and quiet state.
Rest through a cold with 安静
