怪人 (Mysterious person)

怪人(かいじん) refers to mysterious individuals whose true identities are unknown or to suspicious characters with strange abilities.

怪獣 (Giant monster)

怪獣(かいじゅう) is a fictional giant creature with a bizarre appearance and supernatural abilities that is feared for causing harm to humans. While the term is translated as “monster” in English, in Japan it has evolved into a unique cultural phenomenon that primarily refers to animal-like beings appearing in science fiction films.

It combines 怪 (strange) with 獣 (beast) to show a strange beast.
