Submit Example

Use this form to create an example file for submission. Fill in the fields and click "Download File" to get a markdown file in the correct format. You can share the downloaded file and a screenshot of the panel via Discord.

What makes a good example?

The following criteria result in a good example page:

  • The scene avoids spoilers.
  • The scene leading up to the example is simple and can be briefly summarized.
  • There is a small amount of dialogue.
  • The screenshot is from an officially sourced and legally obtained manga volume.
How to fill out the form

Series information: Enter the name of the series, the volume number, page number, and panel number where the example panel is from. You can determine the panel number by counting out how many individual panels there are up to the one you are creating an example for.

Summary: Provide the minimum amount of background necessary to understand the context of the panel.

Dialogue: Enter the dialogue for the example panel, including the speaker name and the Japanese dialogue text. Aim for putting each word balloon in a separate textbox, unless it's a single sentence that should not be split. The English translation is optional, so feel free to leave it blank.

Select the "Download File" button to save the example file to your computer. Send me the downloaded file and a screenshot of the panel via Discord, and if it's appropriate to include, I'll add it to the site.

After downloading the file, select the "Clear Fields" button to reset the form.

Title: A brief, descriptive title for the example (e.g., "A hypothetical situation with たとえ"). Note: This may be changed to fix the site's naming convention.

Explanation page title: The title of the explanation page this is an example for.

Series: The title of the series this example is from.  Volume #: The volume number this example is from.  Page: The page number this example is from.  Panel: The panel number this example is from. If a scene requires two panels, use a hyphen to separate the panel numbers (e.g., "3-4").      Select this button to copy the expected image file name to your clipboard. Save the panel image as a JPG file with this name.
