Contradicting with 〜つつも

〜つつも contrasts what someone knows or feels with what they actually do: “although” or “even while”. The first clause sets up the conflict, and the second gives the action.
The feeling portion often uses a verb such as:

As summer break is half over, talk of summer homework comes up. Yukari says she won’t let Mina copy off of hers.
